MESA is officially a Candidate for Accreditation by the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools. Our school-wide self-study is complete, and we expect to hear back by November.
Magen Ephraim Sephardic Academy is proud to be officially recognized as a Candidate for Accreditation by MSA-CESS, one of the most respected accrediting bodies for schools in the United States and around the world. Our school-wide self-study is now complete, and we expect to hear back by November.
Steps we have completed
- Candidacy: MESA was recognized as a Candidate for Accreditation by the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools.
- A school-wide self-study: We completed a self-assessment that included feedback and input from our entire school community: students, their families, teachers and other members of our school team.
- Community survey: Families, students and teachers shared their views in our community survey, and a committee at our school used the results to identify our strengths and areas for improvement.
- Review by a visiting team: Our self-assessment was shared with a team of visitors from the Middle States Association, who came to MESA to validate it.
What comes next
We expect to hear the Middle States Association's decision by November, and we will share the news with our families as soon as we receive it.
What accreditation means for families
- An independent review of our academic program, leadership and school culture.
- A clear, written plan for continuous growth, shaped by our own community.
- Confidence that MESA meets rigorous, internationally recognized standards for schools.
Thank you to every parent, student and teacher who took part. Your honest feedback helps us build an even stronger school.
