Judaic Studies

The warmth of Torah, the voice of our tradition.

We teach our boys and girls proper Sephardic keriah, tefillah and ta'amim so they can seamlessly integrate into communal life and our synagogues.

Intelligent Judaism

Rooted in tradition, ready for the world.

Our Judaic Studies Principal, Rabbi Yosef Bitton, holds rabbinical ordination from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and Dayanut ordination from Rabbi Obadia Yosef z"l. His vision for teaching is to promote “Intelligent Judaism,” which equips students with a modern Orthodox and Zionist Judaic lens to navigate the modern world.

Our program is designed to instill the traditional Sephardic ideals of Kibbud Ab VaEm, Ahabat Yisrael and support for Medinat Yisrael. Every day, we emphasize the Jewish values of humility, honesty and leadership.

Milestones

Moments they will remember forever

Judaic learning at MESA is marked by celebrations that bring families together. At our First Grade Siddur Celebration, students receive the siddur they will daven from each morning. As they grow, Chumash celebrations mark the start of learning Torah text inside.

Throughout the year, students live the Jewish calendar: shofar in Elul, the Sukkah Hop, Hanukkah candle lighting, Purim, and Yom Yerushalayim celebrations of our love for Medinat Yisrael.

Every child is imbued with the warmth of the Torah and the love of Hashem.
