What grades does MESA serve?

MESA currently serves boys and girls from Kindergarten through Grade 4. We started small and have grown one grade at a time, and we continue to grow alongside our students.

Is MESA only for Sephardic or Mashadi families?

No. MESA is rooted in Sephardic halacha and minhagim and proudly embraces Mashadi and Sephardic traditions, and our doors are open to families from all Jewish communities.

What does a Sephardic Judaic program mean for my child?

Our students learn proper Sephardic keriah (reading), tefillah and ta’amim (melodies) so they can integrate seamlessly into communal life and our synagogues. Alongside Torah and Ivrit, we emphasize Kibbud Ab VaEm, Ahabat Yisrael and support for Medinat Yisrael.

How strong is the General Studies program?

Our dual curriculum gives equal care to General Studies: literacy, mathematics, science, social studies and the arts, led by an administration with decades of experience in New York schools. Each child is taught at their own level and encouraged to strive for their personal best.

Are lunch and school supplies included?

Yes. Lunch and school supplies are included in tuition, so families have one less thing to think about each morning.

What are MESA Wednesdays?

MESA Wednesdays are weekly class trips, primarily for our Kindergarten students. Every Wednesday, our kindergarteners head out on a trip that connects to what they are learning, from the Great Neck Library and White Post Farms to the Long Island Children’s Museum and the Museum of Natural History.

How does MESA support children who need extra help or more challenge?

Individualized learning is at the core of our approach. Our special education teacher and literacy specialist work closely with classroom teachers, and students who are ready for more can join enrichment groups and reading challenges.

Do you offer tuition assistance?

Families with questions about tuition or financial assistance are warmly encouraged to contact the school office. All conversations are kept confidential.

How do I schedule a tour?

Book a visit through our online tour request form or call the office at (516) 613-4422. We would be glad to show you our classrooms and introduce you to our team.

Is MESA accredited?

MESA is officially recognized as a Candidate for Accreditation by the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS). Our school-wide self-study is complete, and we expect to hear the decision by November.
